Armenians Boxers Reserve Two Bronze Medals

Yerevan, April 29, Armenpress: Hovhannes Danielian (48 kg) from Yerevan and Myasnik Malkhasian (85 kg) from Etchmiadzin have managed to slip into semi-finals of an international boxing tournament in Ukraine's Donetsk that has brought some 100 athletes from around 15 countries. Whatever the outcome, Armenian athletes have already reserved two bronze medals. Four other Armenian boxers failed to fight for medals.

Darchinyan Stops Sikali

In a battle of left handers, it was Darchinyan’s vaunted power that told in the end and Sikali, who looked to be wilting in the seventh round pulled a “no mas” at 2 min 22 seconds of round eight. He’d been hurt through the round and a short right uppercut was the last punch of the fight.

Armen Boxer Snatches Main Prize in Germany

Yerevan, July, Armenpress: Samvel Martirosian, a boxer from the Armenian town of Vanadzor (69-kg category) has snatched the main prize at an international tournament in Germany's city of Odder beating his four rivals from Germany, Hungary, France and Great Britain.
